In 2003, Epicurean founded and introduced a new line of professional grade cutting surfaces for the residential kitchen. Using a proprietary paper composite material, Epicurean’s cutting boards are thin, lightweight, and maintenance free. Not only is Epicurean a USA product designer and manufacturer but our paper composite material is Made in the USA as well. The Epicurean paper composite material holds a NSF Certification. Our products are easily cleaned and safe for food contact. Our thoughtfully designed products withstand the test of time for durability, high manufacturing standards, and transparent third-party certifications.
Paper Composite
Epicurean’s material is made from many layers of high-quality custom craft paper. The rolls of paper are infused with a thermosetting resin before being cut to length and laid by hand. Each sheet is carefully stacked. The stacks are pressed under even heat and pressure, bonding the layers. Epicurean’s paper composite material is Made in the USA, and NSF Certified.
