Do I need both the oil and the wax, or is the oil enough on its own?

We recommend both. Our thin mineral oil soaks deep into the grain, then the carnauba beeswax forms a tougher layer against liquids. Apply the CLARK'S oil first, let it absorb, then wax.
Will this work on bamboo cutting boards and bamboo utensils, not just hardwood?

Yes. This CLARK'S kit is made for bamboo cutting boards, salad bowls, bamboo utensils and bamboo countertops. The oil penetrates deep into the bamboo grain and the beeswax adds a barrier that brings the color back.
Is this food safe for a cutting board I use for raw meat and vegetables?

Yes. CLARK'S kit is food safe: food grade mineral oil plus a food grade carnauba beeswax, made with all-natural ingredients. Clean and dry your board first, let the oil absorb, then wipe off any excess before cutting.
How often should I reapply to keep water beading off my cutting board?

Water beads off a freshly oiled and waxed board for a few weeks, then it is time to top up. [VERIFY: label reapplication interval]. A little of our CLARK'S oil goes a long way, so one kit treats many boards.
What comes in the kit, and do I need anything else before I start?

Your CLARK'S kit is two bottles, the food grade mineral oil and the finishing beeswax. No cleaner is included, so wash and dry your wood first, then apply with a clean cloth.
